Mid-summer in Alaska, that doesn't happen! At other times, Alaska is a great place to see them, and it is truly spectacular! Wish I could have seen that. In fact, the BEST place to see them from is a city called Yellowknife in the Northwest Territories of Canada. They have guided tours there, too.
