Best time to see the Northern Lights in Alaska?
2 Commentsdookie asked:
Hi everyone,Im going to be spending the next couple of years working in the United States and Canada, arriving in June.
I have always wanted to see the northern lights, and will have the chance to go to Alaska in the winter. Is there a particular time when the northern lights happen? or will i be able to see them anytime i go up there?
Thanks

At night. In the heart of deepest, darkest winter is the best time to see them.

Best time: March or September
An hour and a half from sunset. Best time: 10 PM to 2 AM.
Best place: Fairbanks
The best night is a clear one.
