At what time of the year is best to view the Northern Lights in Alaska?
1 CommentStacy A asked:
I’ve heard that early autumn and early spring are the two best times of the year to view the Northern Lights in Alaska. Does anyone know if that’s true and if so, does anyone have any idea as to where in Alaska is a good place to view the Lights? In advance, thanks for any help and tips.

I noticed that more happened during the wintertime. I lived in Anchorage and then Eagle River (10 min from Anchorage). It was usually at like 2 or 3 AM when I would go outside. I’d look up and there they’d be.
